Seedance pricing: what a 5 and 10-second clip costs on every platform

Seedance 2.0 costs $0.76 for a 5-second 720p clip on ByteDance's own BytePlus API, and about $1.52 for 10 seconds (BytePlus, 26 Oct 2026). Seedance 2.5 costs about $2.31 for 10 seconds. Reference video adds charges on BytePlus and Runway. For the lowest price, use Dreamina Mini or the BytePlus API; for many models in one plan, price Higgsfield credits.

Seedance prices change by platform, model version and whether you upload video. This page turns each platform's published rates into the price of one 5-second and one 10-second clip. Every figure was read from the vendor's own page on 26 October 2026 and is a list price.

How much does a Seedance 2.0 video cost?

A 720p Seedance 2.0 clip costs between $0.48 and $3.00 for 10 seconds, depending on model tier and platform, as of 26 October 2026.

The table uses 720p, text or image input, no reference video. BytePlus lists 5-second prices; the 10-second figures double them, because BytePlus bills by token count and tokens scale with seconds. Higgsfield lists 5-second credits only, so its 10-second figure is also doubled. Dreamina is priced at its US Basic renewal of $15 for 1,575 credits, about $0.0095 a credit.

Route Model 5 s 10 s
BytePlus API 2.0 Mini $0.38 $0.76

What does Seedance 2.0 API pricing look like?

Seedance 2.0 API pricing on BytePlus is per token: $7.00 per million at 480p and 720p, $7.70 at 1080p and $4.00 at 4K, as of 26 October 2026.

BytePlus estimates tokens as duration x width x height x frame rate / 1024, so cost follows seconds and pixels. 4K has the lowest token rate and the highest bill, because it uses far more tokens. BytePlus also says it charges only for videos that generate successfully.

Model 480p, 5 s 720p, 5 s 1080p, 5 s 4K, 5 s
Seedance 2.0 $0.35 $0.76 $1.87 $3.89
Seedance 2.0 Fast $0.28 $0.60 not supported not supported
Seedance 2.0 Mini $0.18 $0.38 not supported not supported

OpenRouter resells the same model. Its API listing shows the same token rates ($7.00 and $4.30 per million for 2.0), so its per-second prices match BytePlus within rounding.

Does input video cost extra in Seedance?

Input video costs extra on BytePlus and Runway, because both bill the seconds of video you upload, while Dreamina's page says it does not for Seedance 2.5.

BytePlus adds input seconds to output seconds in its token formula, then applies a lower token rate to the total: $4.30 per million for 2.0 at 720p, against $7.00 without video. BytePlus also sets a minimum charge when video is included, which is why its shortest example, 2 to 4 seconds of input, costs $0.84 for a 5-second 720p clip against $0.76 with no video.

Worked example. You make a 10-second 720p clip and upload a 10-second reference video.

  • BytePlus lists $1.86 for a 5-second output with 15 seconds of input at 720p. That is 20 billed seconds, and your clip is also 20 (10 + 10), so the formula gives about $1.86 against $1.52 with no reference. That is a formula estimate before BytePlus's minimum charge for video input.
  • BytePlus Seedance 2.5 lists $4.838 for 5 seconds out and 30 seconds in, 35 billed seconds. That is about $0.138 per billed second. Twenty billed seconds is about $2.77 by the same formula, against $2.31 with no reference.
  • Runway Seedance 2.5 charges 15 credits per input second at 720p. Ten seconds of reference adds 150 credits, so the clip costs 300 + 150 = 450 credits, or $4.50, against $3.00.
  • Dreamina Seedance 2.5 is 37 credits per second with or without a reference, so 10 seconds is 370 credits, about $3.52 at the renewal rate.

Runway's 2.0 rows list no input-video line, and Higgsfield's guide lists no reference charge, so read the credit total on the generate screen before you confirm.

How much more is Seedance 2.5 than 2.0?

Seedance 2.5 costs about 52% more than Seedance 2.0 at 720p on BytePlus, more than double on Dreamina, and the same on Runway, as of 26 October 2026.

Route (720p, no input video) 2.0 2.5 5 s, 2.5 10 s, 2.5
BytePlus token rate $7.00/M $10.70/M $1.16 $2.31
Dreamina credits per second 17 (Pro) 37 $1.76 $3.52
Higgsfield credits, 5 s 30 35 $1.51 $3.01
Runway credits per second 30 30 $1.50 $3.00

Dreamina and Higgsfield dollars use $0.0095 and $0.043 per credit. Seedance 2.5 does not support 4K on BytePlus. Its longer clips reach 30 seconds, so a 30-second 720p clip on Runway is 900 credits ($9.00), and Higgsfield lists it at 210 credits.

How much does Seedance cost on Dreamina?

Dreamina charges credits per generated second: 37 for Seedance 2.5 and 17 for Seedance 2.0 Pro at 720p, as of 26 October 2026.

New US users see a first month of Basic at $0.29 for 1,575 credits, starting 21 October 2026. Dreamina says this is not a permanent rate: the listed renewal is $15 a month. Dreamina gives credit rates for 720p only and warns against applying them to 4K. The free options guide covers daily credits.

How much does Seedance cost on Higgsfield?

Higgsfield charges credits per clip, and on its $129 Ultra plan a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.0 clip costs about $1.29.

Ultra is 3,000 credits, or $0.043 each. Higgsfield lists Seedance 2.0 at 30 credits (720p), 60 (1080p) and 130 (4K) for 5 seconds, as of 5 November 2026. Unused subscription credits do not roll over, so the plan fee is the larger risk. See the Higgsfield pricing guide for plan tiers and refunds.

What is the cheapest way to use Seedance?

The cheapest way to use Seedance is a Mini model: Dreamina Mini for the lowest per-clip cost, BytePlus Mini for pay as you go, if 720p and no 4K is enough.

Use this checklist:

  1. Draft at 480p. Seedance 2.0 at 480p is $0.35 for 5 seconds on BytePlus.
  2. Use Mini or Fast for tests. Mini is half the price of standard 2.0 at 720p on BytePlus, and on Dreamina it is 5 credits a second against 17 for Pro.
  3. Keep reference video short and necessary. On BytePlus every input second is billed.
  4. Pick 2.5 only for the features it adds, such as clips up to 30 seconds.
  5. Plan for retries. Multiply the clip price by the number of takes you expect to discard.
  6. Use a subscription only if you will spend every credit before renewal.

Why do Seedance pricing pages disagree?

Seedance pricing pages disagree because platforms use different units, plans and model versions, and some pages price a different model than their headline.

Atlas Cloud's July 2026 article is titled "Seedance 2.0 Pricing" but its table lists Seedance v1.5 Pro and calls 2.0 access something that was expected to follow. Domains such as seedance.ai are not run by ByteDance and do not say how many credits a clip uses. Rates on this page were read on 26 October 2026, and BytePlus's table showed an October 23 update.

What changed

  • 5 November 2026: Higgsfield's pricing guide now lists 5-second Seedance 2.0 at 30 credits for 720p (was 22) and 130 for 4K (was 110). The 720p clip on Ultra rose from $0.95 to $1.29 for 5 seconds and from $1.89 to $2.58 for 10.
