Is Seedance 2.0 free? Every free route, checked against its own page

Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance's video model. Several sites say you can use it free. This page reads what each one states on its own page, as of 2026-10-26, and flags what it leaves out. Where a page gives no number, the table says "not stated."

Is Seedance 2.0 free?

Seedance 2.0 is free only in small, capped amounts, and the official free route is Dreamina's daily credits.

Dreamina is ByteDance's CapCut-side creative platform (see where to use Seedance 2.0). Its Seedance 2.0 page says "You can try Dreamina Seedance 2.0 using free daily credits" and that once they are used, you can upgrade for more. The page names no credit amount. Its paid plans list "Remove the Dreamina watermark in downloads" as a feature, so plan on a watermark on free downloads.

How many free credits does Dreamina give?

Dreamina's published August 2026 baseline was 120 free credits a day, and Dreamina tells users to confirm the current amount in their account.

That figure comes from a Dreamina guide dated 24 October 2026. The same guide gives no credit price per clip. It says cost depends on the model, duration, resolution, mode and features. A second Dreamina page says Seedance 2.0 Mini "charges fewer credits per second than full Seedance 2.0" and suggests 720p, 5 to 8 seconds and audio off for drafts. So the number of clips 120 credits buys is not published. Open your account and generate one draft to find out, or see what a Seedance clip costs on paid routes.

Which free Seedance routes are official?

Dreamina is the only free route here run on the ByteDance side, the maker of the model. Every other site in the results is a third party.

"Official partner" is a claim on the seller's own page, and no ByteDance confirmation turned up.

Is the AdSkull free plan really one video?

AdSkull's free plan gives 50 credits a month at 40 credits per video, which is one clip a month. The free plan does not include commercial rights, and AdSkull says to upgrade for "commercial rights for paid campaigns."

AdSkull's page also says the credits cover "several" generations depending on length, which contradicts its own 40-credit figure. It does not state a free resolution or watermark rule. It lists a separate "Seedance 2.0 Mini" in its tools, so confirm which model you get before you start. The page states no affiliation with ByteDance.

Is there a free unlimited Seedance 2.0?

No official source offers unlimited free Seedance 2.0, and every route above has a cap.

No vendor page backs the "unlimited" claim. Topview says its Seedance 2.5 trial access "may use a restricted preset and does not include every Seedance 2.5 setting or unlimited generation." TwoShot describes a rolling 4-hour rate limit for free accounts. Dreamina's credits reset daily, which is a refresh, not an unlimited supply.

Is Seedance 2.0 free on Hugging Face or GitHub?

No open weights for Seedance 2.0 turned up, and the Hugging Face repo that ranks for this search is not the model.

The repo is published by an account called Semub. Its card says "the full Seedance 2.0 model is currently hosted exclusively on our official platform" and sends visitors to another website. A real model repo would list weight files and a license. This one lists its license as "other" with no terms. Do not run anything it asks you to download.

Seedance 2.0 or 2.5 on the free tier?

Dreamina now markets Seedance 2.5 and its 2.5 page offers free credits to test it. Its 2.0 page and guides still list Seedance 2.0 and 2.0 Mini.

Dreamina's guide says to "check the specific model and mode available to your account." Free users may not see every model. As checked on 27 October 2026, the 2.5 page advertises a 44% credit saving on Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p, with discounts running 27 October to 6 November.

A checklist before you use a free Seedance site

Use this list on any site that says "free Seedance". Each item has a reason from the pages above.

1. Find who runs the site. Dreamina is the maker's platform. A site that says "official partner" gives you a claim, not proof.
2. Find the credit amount in numbers. Topview and TwoShot publish none, and AdSkull gives 50 a month.
3. Find the credits a clip costs. Dreamina publishes none, AdSkull publishes 40.
4. Find the watermark rule. Dreamina lists removal as paid. TwoShot says none.
5. Find the free resolution and clip length. Most pages state neither for free accounts.
6. Never download a file or install an extension to get more credits.

What free Seedance is good for

Free credits suit testing a prompt, not producing a campaign. Draft at low resolution and short length, as Dreamina advises, and only then spend on a final; how to use Seedance 2.0 covers inputs and prompts. Browse more guides in the Seedance topic hub, or start from the HoneyVid app.
